Disputes lawyer with more than 7 years’ experience litigating multi-million dollar commercial and private-client claims for clients ranging from blue-chip, listed companies and high-net-worth individuals to SMEs and the “man-on-the-street”. He also handles construction adjudication under the SOP Act and is expanding his practice to family, criminal, and Chancery dispute resolution.

Acted for the successful Claimant, a Luxembourg commodities fund, in Horizon Capital Fund v Ollech David [2023] SGHC 164 and Ollech David v Horizon Capital Fund [2024] 1 SLR 287, a US$1.5m claim on a guarantee engaging conflicts of law issues between Swiss law and Singapore law.

Acted for the Defendant, a local HNW businessman, in his appeal against Thong Soon Seng v Magnus Energy Group Ltd [2023] SGHC 5, a S$4.0m dispute over an oral loan in which “absence of basis” was advanced as a novel unjust factor in a claim for unjust enrichment.

Acted for a Korean multinational entertainment group against a Korean national in a defamation claim in excess of US$30m involving novel issues under s 199 of the Securities And Futures Act 2001, contingency fee and/or litigation funding arrangements, and the Riddick principle.
